We surveyed 1,200 B2B SaaS operators and pulled data from 40 public filings to build the clearest picture we can of where the industry sits in mid-2026.

Growth Returns — But Not Everywhere

Median net new ARR growth recovered to 22% year over year, up from 14% in 2024. But the recovery is uneven: horizontal tools are booming while point solutions in crowded categories continue to compress.

AI Consolidation

The AI wrapper era ended. Buyers now expect AI inside the tools they already use — Notion AI, ChatGPT inside CRM, Fin inside support — rather than net-new AI-only subscriptions.

The Mid-Market Fight

HubSpot, Monday and ClickUp are all racing upmarket while Salesforce and Adobe push down. The 100-1,000 employee segment is the most contested it has ever been.

The Pricing Reset

Usage-based pricing peaked in 2023. In 2026, buyers explicitly prefer predictable per-seat pricing again, and vendors are quietly rolling it back.
